SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS OF THE SPORTS DIRECTORATE OF THE MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATION.
1. Plan, direct, rationalize, guide and execute sports activities at the municipal level, ensuring compliance with technical and methodological standards are issued by the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER)
2. Plan, direct and control, at the municipal level, the application of the indications issued by the National Institute of Sports and Physical Education and Recreation (INDER) in those schools that are subordinate to it and that are linked to education programs Physics and learning at different levels of schooling
3. Plan, direct and control recreation plans applicable to children, youth, adults and older adults, in compliance with the established norms and indications
4. Contribute in its territorial demarcation to the greatest boom in Physical, Sports, Recreational and Physical Education Activities through mass practice and to know its most modern technique and to practice according to it.
5. Direct, implement and comply with the norms and indications established in relation to the operation of the technical schools of physical education, located in its territory, to train teachers, as well as facilitate the ways of improvement and training.
6. Develop healthy habits and lifestyles, aimed at the systematic practice of AFC and Sport, even in the most remote places of its territorial demarcation.
7. Promote and control compliance with the Cuban State policy, in its territorial demarcation, in relation to free and massive access to the practice of AFC, sports, physical education and recreation, in all its manifestations, with the aim of achieve a healthy, vigorous, firm character citizenship, prepared for the defense of the Homeland and with a high sense of its civic duties, as well as unconditionally to the postulates and conquests of the Cuban Revolution
8. To direct, within the scope of its competence, the implementation and fulfillment of the Cuban State policy regarding international collaboration, reporting as appropriate, the results of its execution.
9. Direct within the scope of its competence, the norms and indications issued by INDER in relation to the technological innovation processes related to the AFC. sport, physical education and recreation, as well as those related to sports medicine and anti-doping control, with the aim of introducing and using new knowledge and technologies that promote positive results (impacts - benefits).
